The Academic Foundations of Dr. Michael Civin’s Career

Dr. Michael A. Civin’s exceptional career in clinical psychology is grounded in an impressive academic journey. He began his education at Harvard University, where he graduated cum laude with an A.B. degree in 1968. This prestigious start set the stage for his pursuit of advanced degrees that would shape his future as a leading psychologist.

After a year at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Civin earned his first Master of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon. Not one to rest on his laurels, he later obtained a second M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986.
